A B O U T M E
The learnings in my short time as an architecture student have begun to form a foundation for the architecture I one day wish to design, resolve and respond to. I believe that the best design process is one that one stems from originality and asks provocative questions.
To develop architectural value, a parting question must be, “what will bring people together and why here?”
A response to place and its qualities (genius loci) balanced equally with a client’s requirements are the driving forces behind a project…
what is the architecture responding to… how will it be celebrated… why will it be visited… how can it create a sense of belonging and a phenomenological experience?
The site and the built form should work hand-in-hand to muster a comfortable, enriching space for human and non-human inhabitation. This cohesive relationship thrives only when the architecture is treated as a complementary element to celebrate the genuinity and ingrained splendour of nature, allowing the human to become a transcendental figure that lurks between both realms.
Being a student means being exposed to teachings and different ways of thinking. In an ever changing world and in a profession that constantly responds to it, we have a vital responsibility that dictates how the world will look in the future.
We should attempt to bring nature, houses and human beings together in a higher unity
